Not to Belabor the Point, but....

It was a success!

Yes, it was raining, but thanks to our enclosed patio Lloyd was able to cook on his new self-built (with navigational help from his patient wife) barbeque last night.

No explosions.

No fires.

No self-inflicted burns.

Just delicious grilled salmon served with baked potatoes, fresh green beans and a salad.  With fresh-picked raspberry shortcake for dessert.  (the raspberries were fresh-picked, not the shortcake!).  Yum!

And yes, Mike, we did think of waiting a couple weeks until you came to visit with your uncanny assembly skills, but there comes a time when parents need to become independent of their children and learn to do things for themselves.

And we succeeded wonderfully.

The food sounds delicious. I wish I'd been there. And gentle rain--what is that? I think you did good assembling that contraption. (Yes, I know "good" isn't the right word. "Well" sounds funny.)

I so relate to your comment to your son. We need ours to do so much in the techy world that they are amazed we are able to get out of bed and tie our shoelaces each day...lol...snicker snicker...

Delicious meal and grilling by the way!
Hugs~

The food all sounds wonderful! You know you are getting old when your children fix your things, instead of the other way round ..... my son recently changed all the settings on my camera - and yes, it made things better!
