The Best Time of Day

Lloyd and I have found that the best time of day here in the summer is late afternoon and evening.  We stay in the air conditioned comfort of home, car, stores and restaurants until around 3:00 when the shade hits our swimming pool and we can enjoy it without risk of instant sunburn.  We spend an hour or so in the pool at that time, get out for a few hours, and then when it's dark we go back in.  It hasn't gone down below 90F at night since we've been here so the swimming is lovely at night.

We turn the pool lights on as well as the landscaping lights behind the palm trees for a lovely atmosphere - very peaceful and calm.  The in-pool lights turn the water from blue to green to red as you can see from the pictures.

A wonderful way to spend the hot summer nights.  We'll miss the pool the most when we go home.

I'm glad you have some time outdoors even in the heat. The pool looks wonderful. In honor of Labor Day weekend I think we'll reach a high of 90 sometime this coming weekend, but it will probably be the last of the heat here. Temps at night will be in the 70's and I'm afraid that very soon even a 70 degree day will be hard to find. Enjoy the pool and what is left of summer!

Ah, the life! We were in Osoyoos this summer and we always enjoyed the hotel pool in the late afternoon/evening best. I like the changing lights, it really makes the evening festive.

Lovely to see those photos today. How wonderful for you to have such a great pool, and to have those high temperatures even in the evenings. It all sounds absolutely perfect! Enjoy!

It's going to be 97 here tomorrow. Tame by your standards out there. I'd love to take a dip in a pool so lovely. You're so-oo lucky. Could never convince my hubby we needed one. Those night lights you have around it are stunning. RELAX and ENJOY, winter will be here before we know it.

The doctor wanted Ron to start swimming or at least walking around in a pool to help get his strength back. He asked if we had access to a pool and Ron said "no" but I interjected, "No we only live on a huge lake!" LOL Oh if only we did have a private and cozy pool like that. Then again, we would keep our well dry trying to keep it full. Oh the joy of country living.
