And no, I don't mean Frank Sinatra.
One of Lloyd's most beautiful features are his blue eyes. He's the only blue-eyed person in his family but he passed them down, in various shades, to all of our kids and all but 2 or 3 of our grandchildren.
He woke up a couple of days ago with an added color...
He says he wasn't hit with a ball or golf club earlier in the day - I think he'd remember something like that anyway. It wasn't like that when he went to bed the previous night. I absolutely deny any responsibility for his shiner. Really.
As it appears to be healing, we'll just chalk it up to one of those mysterious injuries - at least until someone admits taking a poke at those beautiful eyes

Poor guy! He does have lovely blue eyes. Maybe he rubbed them really hard in his sleep. I've punched Brian in my sleep before so maybe you shouldn't rule that out.
That's just too weird. I can't imagine what caused that--except that you did hit him without knowing it. Maybe he made a pass at somebody's wife and doesn't want to tell you. hahaha--I'm totally kidding. Really!
Sleep boxing.
Strange! I was also the only blue eyed one in my family. Both my parents had brown eyes and back then it was just not heard of for two blue eyes to produce blue eyes. I wondered where I came from!
Beautiful eye! So expressive....
Jane
Are you sure your elbow didn't hit his eye in the middle of the night? lol
He should probably see his doctor when he gets home. I don't think it's normal to wake up with a black eye and no trauma has occured.
